I purchased this book and the "My Book of Multiplication" from Kumon for my 6 year old who is currently in first grade. We work out of the "Big Second Grade Workbook" and they did a wonderful job introducing multiplication. My son really enjoyed it. This book starts off kind of odd because it has simple addition problems, but I assume its laid out like this for a reason. I enjoy the Kumon Math books because my son seems to understand Math more and grasps the concept with amount of repetition and practice. (He has currently finished the Grade 2 Kumon Math and now we are working in the Kumon Math Grade 3). I look forward to beginning this book with my son next week and hopefully by June we will be able to move on to the 2nd book in this series "My Book of Multiplication."

As a tutor, I found that many of my older students (upper elementary and middle school, even junior high) struggle with completing simple mathematical multiplication and division problems because they never took the time to master and/or memorize the multiplication tables. My mother had me memorize the multiplication tables up to 12(times 12) by the time I was eight, and went further as I got older (I think we stopped at 20 times 12 at some point in upper elementary school). It was grueling but boy was I glad we did it because it helped me so much with math!There is a place for memorization in math and multiplication is one area for it. I have a first grader and I decided to help her understand the concept of multiplication in incremental steps while getting her to do basic memorization. I like the Kumon approach as it teaches concepts in incremental steps. The book of Simple Multiplication only goes up to 5 times 10, but is sufficient for children who are beginning to learn and understand the concept of multiplication. The exercises are structured in an incremental manner beginning with familiarity with numbers, practicing addition, practicing repeated addition, before getting the student to repeat a multiplication table out loud.A fun way to do the 'memorization' is by getting the child to do something physical and fun, like climbing up and down a step as he/she says it, dribbling a ball, etc. This breaks the monotony and tedium a bit. I am also using another fun learning tool to reinforce the concept of multiplication:Twist and Shout MultiplicationUsed together, these educational tools can help a child grasp the concept of multiplication and gain confidence in math!

My daughter is working on this book as I even type this review. We've worked on a lot of books over this summer keeping our minds right for the new school year. This is a great intro into multiplication. Easy enough for her to do on her own and comprehend the concepts, so I've been pleased so far. I read the reviews and this seemed like a great book to start off our multiplication journey. I don't anticipate it will take her long to finish, and then we will move up to the next level after this book.

We use this for our 6 year old and 10 year olds and not only does this really help them learn but they also enjoy doing it. Before these books my kids struggled and now are keeping up with their classmates

First book we went through for my son to study during summer break between 2 and third grade. It was a perfect level for him. He had not previously done multiplication.

My daughter was having a hard time keeping up with all the other kids in her class and her grades shown it.We wanted to put her through Kumon learning center, but it was not affordable at the time and my wife found these books on amazon. Since my daughter been working in these work books she has improved a lot and her grades have improved in school. If you have time to work with your child and looking at an affordable way to help I would recommend these work books they help.

My child is 7 years old and has just finished using this book. Very good material, it focuses on multiplication up to 5x10. It's not like other workbooks that focuses on a lot of topics and fail to have the child master one topic alone. My child can now recite his multiplication table up to 5 and answer the book with ease.

Great practice for my granddaughters. They even like it.

Once I started this adventure there was no putting the the book down.Jenna had only one thought in her head my name is Jenna Cameron that was all she had to hold onto because she awoke in Scotland naked with no other memories. It was a good thing that Domnall found her. He couldn't believe his eyes because it was the same spot 12 centuries before he and his men awoke and she had his same glyphs on her back as he had on his arm.His people had once been the pritani and had battle spirits to guide them . But one they were taken they battle spirits, there origami marks, there people. Now they have these's glyphs and done know how they got them or what they mean.The druids tell them only the gods couldWow what a story and new bad guys! I loved it it's full of action, mystery, drama, and so much more. The characters are so amazing you can't help but just fall into the story.It's a must read! Don't miss itVoluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

A new series from Hunter and just as good as the first Skaraven Clan series. Wonderful characters. Not completely sure of plot. Really hope there will be a connection between first and second series beyond what Hunter has offered so far. Can't wait till April 10th for second book.

I could not put this book down. An exciting new experience. I as led down an unexpected path and loved every minute. I immediately ordered the next book in this series and can't wait for it to arrive. I am immediately starting a second reading as it is that good.

I’ve read several of Hazel Hunters’ time travel series and have enjoyed them all. She grabs her audience, sucks them in until the end and leaves them wanting more. As usual I’ll be getting the rest of this series too. Very enjoyable read.

The story was interestingly enough, but very confusing with going back and forth from one realm to another and person to person in different setting and thoughts.

Characters were likeable. Plot line started slow but got better. Since it was the first book in the series I expect a bit more development and backstory to set up the rest of the series. All in all I enjoyed it and looking forward to reading the next one.

Simple baby food recipes, didn't need a cookbook but may help you!

I was very disappointed in this book. I was not aware that the book was geared to individuals living in England. The measurements are in metric which I sadly have no knowledge. I also do not know what many of the ingredients are as they are geared to our English friends. Please please give me good American food for my allergic Yankee Doodle toddler

Many of the recipes use coconut which my baby is allergic to and there are no breakfast recipes

My child has multiple food allergies, and this book helped me get over my fear of introducing new foods to him. I triple the recipes ( the ones for older kids in the second half of the book) and make them for the whole family. We have all loved the recipes and my son is eating more for each meal as his food actually is flavorful and interesting now!

This book is the best of its kind that I've found, after reading many, many other books. It provides an easy-to-read format of essential foundational skills for students learning math. I've been a math interventionist for years, and this provides many helpful descriptions, explanations, and activities to use in teaching mathematics at a variety of levels. All of the math teachers in my building have read and loved this book.

Bought this to have my own copy after attending an Advantage Math Recovery training. Absolutely loved it. The games are fantastic in small groups and very engaging.
