This book tied in with a Prekindergarten theme on Trees.

I really enjoyed reading this book to my daughters. We loved the images all the wild animals. The African story has a good meaning of not complaining and being thankful for who your are to begin with. The key at the back was useful to explaining about the African animals. Our kids were homeschooled and loved the legend and the added info of the real Bao bab trees and the added facts about so many animals of Africa. We rarely get hard cover books but glad we did as it is a keeper.

I liked this book because it took me to a far away land with lots of wild animals and gave me a look at the land and food they ate. I liked the bright colors and the stormy weather. I think the tree made a mistake complaining so much to the Great Spirit of the Wild Plains. He was ok. with all his leaves and was really big. He should have been happy the way he was! I hope I can see more books like this one.

As the owner of a Corvette "collector edition", I was anxious for this book to arrive. The pictures are GREAT and the stories are very good with details about each model listed. It's also the first book I've seen that lists every special/limited edition corvette ever produced since inception in 1953. A great coffee table edition!

This is a special Corvette book with hundreds and hundreds of fantastic photographs, and as important, is a terrifically fun book to read. Keith Cornett has a wonderful writing style! And intermixed are thousands of fun Corvette facts. While I usually buy a book like this and read it, then put it away, this one I keeps re-opening to re-read and read some more. An absolutely wonderful book

I am a somewhat experienced amateur photographer that wants to do more portrait and studio work.This quick read "how to" book is excellent for posing. Lots of pictures including photo examples of what not to do. Seeing mistakes is worth a thousand words and benefit this book greatly.One of my favorites.

I found this book and got it used off Amazon as I'm a photographer student at lacc. Posing I have trouble with the most. They dont teach this in the program. While the book is mostly women the text Is so good it could be a class. The teachers at the school are really good but don't teach you about working with clients or models. This book gives a lot of great info just in the introduction.

There's some good info in this book, but the formatting for the Kindle app on the iPad turns it into an unusable mess. It's a photography book: there are illustrative photos, with captions. But somehow they don't line up right, and you'll find yourself going back and forth trying to figure out which photo matches which explanation. I'm now buying the paperback version, which is considerably more expensive, so I have to admit I got a lot out of the parts of the book I've read. But don't buy the Kindle edition unless you enjoy frustration.

As a wildlife/ landscape photographer, I've wanted to expand my horizons and try some portrait/ modeling photography. This was an excellent book for me to learn posing techniques and gave me some great ideas for shooting models in specific settings and locations. The book was easy to read, and was filled with many great images.

He does a better job than what I've come to expect from Amherst Media. NOTE: Amherst Media = Run! Run far! Run fast! From the 6 or 7 that I've seen, they publish nothing but utter garbage.

After reading each page or section of a page I analyze "every aspect" and small detail each pose thoroughly. This takes much more time than just reading the text but is well worth it. Book covers everything you need to know and is well organized into smaller units within a specific pose situation. I was however disappointed with the choice of using silhouette shots for the C.S. and I poses as I still am uncertain about how they are to be interpreted. this was a bad choice considering most the other poses are dependent on these three poses. Other than tat I love this book - absolutely and would never choose anything else over it as the basis for my model photography.

This book is essential for models and photographers to read! The author provides great tips for success in the modeling industry!

This was a really informative book. I had not used professional models before I read this book. It set me on a path toward that goal and really helped me to become more successful in my initial foray into using models.I highly recommend this book to anyone who shoot people, even if you are not shooting model portfolios.

In addition to his duties at the University of Dayton, Professor Kowalski is editor of the Journal of School Public Relations and serves on the editorial boards of several other professional journals including Educational Administration Quarterly and the AASA Journal of Scholarship and Practice. In 2000, he was selected to be the editor of the 2001 National Council of Professors of Educational Administration Yearbook, the first yearbook of the new millennium. The author of numerous books, professional articles, research papers, and monographs, Dr. Kowalski has received awards for his research, writing, and scholarship including the Outstanding Faculty Research Award from the Teachers College at Ball State University in 1993, the Outstanding Faculty Scholarship Award from the School of Education and Allied Professions at the University of Dayton in 2002 and 2005, and the Alumni Award in Scholarship from the University of Dayton in 2005. Since 1986, he has delivered over 100 invited lectures at colleges and universities and has provided consultant services to numerous education and business clients. Professor Kowalski's primary areas of research are organizational behavior and communication, decision making, and school and district administration.

One of the more useful books I had to buy for the master's degree in education administration.

Easy to read and has great examples. I'm using it in grad school right now.

This is a textbook example of a painfully boring masters level book. The only useful thing about the book is that it offers multiple interesting case studies. Yet even those case studies are wasted--problems are presented but the author fails to suggest what the "solution" was. Most people reading this review will just be glancing at it before buying the book anyway, as it will probably be required for your class. But if that's not the case, and you are actually looking for a book on public relations in schools, I implore you to look elsewhere. Even the single chapter provided in Gardening in the Minefield by Laurel Schmidt will be more helpful.

Well written book. Great for the class I am taking.

It was a textbook I had to buy for a college class. It was good, for a textbook. Enough said.
